At just 14 years old, Siddharth Nandyala has done something incredible—he’s developed an AI-powered app, CircadiaV, that can detect heart disease in seconds using just a smartphone. What started as a passion for artificial intelligence has now turned into a potential life-saving tool for people around the world.

His invention comes at a time when cardiovascular diseases remain the leading cause of death globally, often due to late diagnosis. With CircadiaV, Siddharth aims to make heart screenings faster, cheaper, and more accessible, especially in underserved communities.

How a Siddharth Nandyala Built a Life-Saving AI

Siddharth’s journey into AI started young. Growing up in Anantapur, India, before moving to Texas, he was fascinated by how technology could solve real-world problems. By age 12, he was already the youngest AI-certified professional by Oracle and ARM. But his true inspiration came from a family member’s health scare, which made him realize how difficult it can be to catch heart disease early.

Determined to find a solution, Siddharth spent months developing CircadiaV, an app that uses a smartphone microphone to analyze heart sounds and detect abnormalities. The app runs on an AI algorithm trained on thousands of heart sound samples, giving 96% accuracy in identifying potential issues like irregular heartbeats and murmurs.

So far, over 15,000 patients in the U.S. and 700 in India have tested CircadiaV, and the results are promising. Siddharth’s next goal? Getting his app into hospitals, rural clinics, and even homes, so more people can detect heart conditions before it’s too late.

Who is Siddharth Nandyala?

Siddharth Nandyala is a young innovator and AI developer, currently serving as the CEO of his own health-tech startup (STEM IT). He is widely recognized for creating an AI-powered app that can detect heart disease in seconds, earning acclaim for its potential to revolutionize early diagnosis and treatment in the medical field.

Young Minds Driving AI Innovations in Healthcare

Siddharth isn’t the only young innovator using AI to tackle medical challenges. Across the world, teenagers and young adults are making breakthroughs that were once thought impossible.

1. Jose Zea – AI for Faster Diagnoses

Jose Zea, a tech entrepreneur, developed Arkangel AI, which helps hospitals analyze patient data and detect diseases faster, including conditions like kidney disease and pregnancy complications.

2. Rahul Trivedi – Predicting Diseases Before Symptoms Appear

Rahul Trivedi, an Indian PhD researcher, is working on AI models that predict cancer and neurological diseases before symptoms even show up, potentially saving thousands of lives through early intervention.

3. Filipino Students – AI for Detecting Heart Disease

A group of high school students in the Philippines created “Pintig,” an AI software that scans medical images for signs of artery plaque buildup, a leading cause of heart attacks.

These young innovators prove that technology, creativity, and determination can drive real change in healthcare.

Why AI is Transforming Medicine

The impact of AI in healthcare goes far beyond just heart disease detection. Here’s how it’s changing the medical field:

1. Faster and More Accurate Diagnoses

AI-powered tools like CircadiaV and Pintig can analyze medical data in seconds, allowing doctors to diagnose diseases much earlier than traditional methods.

2. Making Healthcare More Accessible

Millions of people don’t have easy access to specialists. AI can bridge this gap by providing preliminary diagnoses through smartphones, helping people get medical attention sooner.

3. Helping Doctors, Not Replacing Them

Hospitals are often overwhelmed with patients, and AI can assist doctors by analyzing test results and patient history quickly, letting them focus on treatment rather than paperwork.

Challenges and Concerns faced by Siddharth Nandyala

While AI has the potential to revolutionize healthcare, it comes with challenges:

1. Data Privacy and Security Risks

AI models rely on patient data, which raises concerns about how securely this information is stored and shared. Strict privacy laws need to be enforced to protect users.

2. Accuracy and Bias in AI Models

AI systems must be trained on diverse populations to prevent bias. If not properly tested, an AI tool could work well for some patients but fail for others, leading to misdiagnoses.

3. AI is a Tool, Not a Replacement

AI should assist doctors, not replace them. Human expertise is still essential in medicine, and AI should be viewed as a supporting tool rather than a decision-maker.

The Future of AI in Healthcare

The future of AI in medicine is just getting started. In the coming years, we can expect:

• AI-powered diagnostics to become a routine part of hospital checkups.

• AI to personalize treatments by analyzing a person’s unique health data.

• More collaborations between tech companies, doctors, and researchers, leading to even bigger breakthroughs in disease prevention and treatment.

With young innovators like Siddharth Nandyala leading the way, AI isn’t just about making technology smarter—it’s about making healthcare better, faster, and more accessible for everyone.
