This is what a Diabetic Diet Plan for Indians over the age of 50 should look like.

After conducting online research and consulting medical professionals, we have devised a simple diabetic diet plan based on ordinary Indian foods that were easily accessible everywhere and everywhere.

However, the diet plan that we have created and have mentioned here is a broad one. Please see your doctor before beginning, especially if you have any health issues other than diabetes.

Kickstart the morning.

fenugreek

You must start your day with a glass of lukewarm water if you are following a healthy diabetic diet plan based on Indian food. This helps to flush out the majority of the toxins that have accumulated in the body. A teaspoon of methi, commonly known as fenugreek seeds, steeped overnight is a wonderful technique to help balance your blood sugar levels.

Breaking the fast from the previous night

good night

However, Diabetics should have breakfast every day. Moreover, these solutions may be an excellent method to break the overnight fast for Indians over the age of 50.

A cup of sugar-free tea, coffee, buttermilk, or chaas

Porridge/Dalia/oatmeal with veggies and curd

Two tiny filled Rotis packed with green vegetables

Moong dal/besan chila stuffed with paneer

Upma/vegetable vermicelli/oatmeal

1 cooked egg, 1 cup milk, 1 cup oats

Lunch should be nutritious.

nutrition

A wonderful nutritious lunch of Indian cuisine always keeps me satisfied till the following mid-meal. Eating properly is a critical component of diabetics over the age of 50’s wellness. Proteins must be consumed in sufficient quantities.

A bowl of seasonal vegetables like pumpkin, bottle gourd, bitter gourd, ladyfinger with dals such as black gram called Kala Chana/Mung sprouts/Chicken or fish, served with 2 whole-grain Rotis and a dish of salad.

Summer lunches might include a large bowl of veggie oats khichdi with curd.

Make a salad with cucumber, onion, and tomato, and serve with one or two thin whole-grain khakhras when you’re not hungry.

Brown rice with mixed veggies and entire dal in a dish.

Evening mid-meal

This second mid-meal is critical in an Indian diabetic diet plan. This should be a pretty healthy one. This evening snack should be planned around your tea hour. It is possible…

A handful of roasted chana with Murmura or puffed grains such as Bajra.

Enjoy a dish of Bhel cooked with puffed grains like as Bajra and topped with cucumber, tomato, onion, and coriander chutney.

Khakhra, plain or masala

If you don’t drink tea or coffee, you must drink plain buttermilk.

Sandwich on open whole grain bread with cucumber, tomato, and green chutney. Please, no butter, cheese, or mayonnaise.

Finish the day with a nutritious yet light meal.

Dinner hours for Indians over the age of 50 who are on a diabetic diet plan should be the healthiest and the earliest. If everything is organized properly, dinner may encompass everything. Dinner options include…

Two whole-grain chapatis accompanied by a bowl of greens such as mustard/Bathua/Spinach/Methi/soya greens/Cholia or green chana/soya chunks/fish or chicken and salad.

A bowl of veggie oats with homemade soup may be a fast meal.

Moreover, a dish of fresh green salad with multigrain roti and 1 bowl of dal sprouts might be a nutritious and light supper alternative.

It is critical to avoid any starchy foods such as potatoes, polished white rice, and so on. You can choose any of the veggies offered, but yam and colocasia should be avoided.

Before going to bed

To help you get through the lengthy period between breakfasts, drink a cup of yellow or golden milk, which is created by mixing organic turmeric to milk. If desired, a few almonds and walnuts can be added. It is critical to keep it under control.
